End-User License Agreement

Please read this End-User License Agreement carefully before downloading or using Beam Studio.
Interpretation and Definitions
Interpretation
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.
Definitions
For the purposes of this End-User License Agreement:

Agreementmeans this End-User License Agreement that forms the entire agreement between You and the Company regarding the use of the Application.

Applicationmeans the software program provided by the Company downloaded by You to a Device, named Beam Studio.

Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Agreement) refers to FLUX Inc., 9F., No. 465, Sec. 6, Zhongxiao E. Rd., Nangang Dist., Taipei City 115.
Content refers to content such as text, images, or other information that can be posted, uploaded, linked to or otherwise made available by You, regardless of the form of that content.
- Country refers to: Taiwan
- Device means any device that can access the Application such as a computer, a cellphone or a digital tablet.

Third-Party Servicesmeans any services or content (including data, information, applications and other products services) provided by a third-party that may be displayed, included or made available by the Application.
- You means the individual accessing or using the Application or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Application, as applicable.
Acknowledgment
By using the Application, You are agreeing to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Agreement. If You do not agree to the terms of this Agreement, do not download or do not use the Application.
This Agreement is a legal document between You and the Company and it governs your use of the Application made available to You by the Company.
The Application is licensed, not sold, to You by the Company for use strictly in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.
License
Beam Studio is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL, or “free software”).
This license grants people a number of freedoms:
- You are free to use Beam Studio, for any purpose
- You are free to distribute Beam Studio
- You can study how Beam Studio works and change it
- You can distribute changed versions of Beam Studio
The GPL strictly aims at protecting these freedoms, requiring everyone to share their modifications when they also share the software in public. That aspect is commonly referred to as Copyleft.
Note: this applies to the official version provided via FLUX Inc. We always recommend you to use the official releases.
Scope of License
- The Company grants You a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install and use the Application strictly in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.
- The license that is granted to You by the Company is solely for your personal, commercial purposes strictly in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.
- FLUX grants you, a non-exclusive Royalty-Free license to display image output generated with the Software.
- You may generate, sell and redistribute your images created with the Software with full ownership and use-rights to the image.
- The Software may not be used in an illegal or otherwise unlawful manner.
- The Software may not be transferred or sold to third parties, nor posted for unauthorized distribution.
- The use of any FLUX Inc. Software logos and trademarks must be approved by FLUX Inc.
- You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FLUX Inc. and all of its officers and agents (“Those Indemnified”) for any and all losses, damages, liabilities, claims, costs or expenses incurred directly or indirectly by Those Indemnified in connection with the use of FLUX Software for any unlawful, unauthorized or prohibited purpose.
- You may not sell, sub-license, loan, give, or transfer any part of the Software or a copy thereof to another person or company.
- The source code we develop at FLUX Inc. is default being licensed as GNU GPL Version 3 or later.
- Beam Studio also uses many modules or libraries from other projects.
- The privacy policy you can read here.
- All the components that together make Beam Studio are compatible under the newer GNU GPL Version 3. That is also the license to use for any distribution of Beam Studio binaries.
